Platinum Car Wash’s First Annual Tunnel of Terror Raises $10,000 for Local Charities, Draws Visitors from Across States
Bristol, CT — November 12, 2024 — Platinum Car Wash is thrilled to announce the success of its first annual “Tunnel of Terror” event, held every Friday through Sunday evening throughout October. Thanks to the incredible support from the Bristol community, customers, and volunteers, the event raised $10,000 in support of four local charities: GetUp Stage Company (GUSCO), Boys and Girls Club of Bristol, Bristol Arts and Innovation Magnet School (BAIMS), and Imagine Nation.
The Tunnel of Terror transformed the Platinum Car Wash in Bristol into a spooky and fun-filled haunted car wash experience. With eerie lights, creepy characters, and plenty of scares, guests enjoyed a thrilling evening while supporting local causes that impact the Bristol community. Throughout all four weekends, volunteers and staff were dedicated to creating a memorable and safe experience for every visitor, with the final weekend drawing such a crowd that cars were lined up down the street. “We apologize for any inconvenience to our Bristol neighbors, but we’re incredibly grateful for the support and patience,” said Angelo Fazzina, Platinum Car Wash’s Regional Manager and a proud Bristol native.
Social media played a big role in this year’s turnout, as customers who experienced the Tunnel of Terror shared their adventures online, inspiring others to join the fun. People drove in from surrounding states to visit, drawn by the buzz generated by online posts and the support from local community members. “We’re so happy that the event resonated so widely and that it allowed us to give back to these wonderful charities that do so much for Bristol,” added Fazzina. Platinum Car Wash extends its heartfelt gratitude to the many volunteers who generously contributed their time to make the Tunnel of Terror a success. Their dedication and enthusiasm were instrumental in creating a fantastic experience for attendees. Platinum also thanks Mayor Jeffrey Caggiano for visiting the event to show his support, reinforcing the strong sense of community that makes Bristol so special.
Following the overwhelming response to this year’s Tunnel of Terror, Platinum Car Wash is excited to announce plans to bring the event back next October. “We can’t wait to make next year’s Tunnel of Terror even bigger and better,” said Fazzina. “The support from our community, customers, and local leaders has inspired us to push the boundaries and create an even more thrilling experience.”
Each of the four charities—GUSCO, Boys and Girls Club of Bristol, BAIMS, and Imagine Nation—expressed their appreciation for the support. Platinum Car Wash looks forward to future opportunities to collaborate and continue contributing to the local community in meaningful ways.
